Simplicity

most of the times it pays off to be simple
and our efforts affect others in a form of a ripple
and as people used to say
if we want to be happy, there is always a way

Being simple, this is something easy to say, but so hard to implement in our lives, because our lives these days have become so complicated, mainly because of technology, and partly because we choose it to be, well lets use an example, long long ago, people used to end their days enjoying the glow and view of the romantic setting sun, and bask in its relaxing rays untill it fully dissapears into the ends of the earth, but nowadays, all we bask in is the radiation full rays of our T.V screens, and watch it untill the earth ends >.< , well this does not apply to all but im only using the above as an example, well lets stop for a while, forget all those things troubling our minds, and ask ourselves, when was the last time i looked up to the sky and enjoyed its magnificence? when was the last time i let the wind embrace me as i opened my arms wide to embrace it back? when was the last time i stood in the rain not worrying if i will be too sick in the morning to go to work or school? when was the last time i enjoyed looking at the beauty of the flowers just outside our window, sometimes people spend an ample amount of money to go to places away from the city just to relax, actually there is an easier way , and its less costly too, because the beauty of GOD's creation is all around us, we just need to learn how to look.

hmmmm I do my daily "watching the sky" and "staring at the flowers" in our garden. Naks! I'm obliged since baby Julie loves the garden and the cool breeze of the wind around 4pm to 5pm.

I agree with you that it's not a question of how much you earn or spend that makes me happy and content, it's simply a question of perspective. It's so hard to be difficult when the rest of society dictates the need for worldliness, power and materialism.

Being simple is something we cannot really rush too, considering how quick paced our life is, we cannot just drop everything, get naked and run into the "fields" and say we're free. We have to resolve to take that conscious step and change our lives in a gradual but meaningful pace. :D

Take care.
